About the FNAL

Since its establishment on 12 June 1987,
the National Aikido Federation, as a national organisation, has been dedicated in particular to the following tasks:

International representation

Representing its members’ interests vis-à-vis international organisations and within them.

The FNAL sees itself as a bridge between its members and the organisations dedicated to the practice of aikido.

Support

The promotion and maintenance of international relations between national and international associations, as well as between their members or affiliated associations.

Sports licences

The issuing of national sports licences to eligible participants and the associated procedures.

National representation

The representation of all FNAL member associations before the national authorities and wherever else such representation is required.

Legal defence

Defending its objectives by all legal means where necessary.

Application of the rule

The development and implementation of a set of rules, monitoring compliance with and enforcement of these rules, and the preservation of the culture and philosophy of aikido in Luxembourg.

The Executive Committee

In accordance with the FNAL’s articles of association, the organisation is managed by an executive committee.

He is responsible for managing the affairs of the FNAL and overseeing the dojos.

The terms of office of individual members are as follows:

Members of the boards of directors of the various associations also hold these posts.

Individual members of the association are also represented on the executive committee by delegates, in proportion to the number of members registered with the association.
